As a Physician Recruiter III, you will participate in the daily activities associated with sourcing physicians and managing assigned recruitment functions, supporting a large portion of the Neurological Institute. In this role, you will meet with department Chairs and Center Directors to discuss recruitment efforts, including sourcing, advertising, and other recruitment strategies to support the successful recruitment of physicians to meet organizational needs. This position will coordinate candidate itineraries, including travel arrangements and interview scheduling, while managing multiple competing priorities. You will also participate in leadership Search Committee activities and receive training in the process.
A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with the potential for additional meetings outside of these hours and are required to attend conferences and work onsite at Main Campus as needed for candidate interviews.
To be considered for this position, caregivers must reside in Northeast Ohio.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Assume a professional level consultative role relative to interacting with Management by providing insight and direction to their overall recruitment of physicians including long range planning and the development of strategies to accomplish goals.
- Provide leadership to a team of physician recruiters and participate in recruitment activities.
- Provide initial introductory class to potential candidates.
- Conduct follow-up calls to candidates to ascertain status and level of interest.
- Secure CV of physician candidates and disseminate to appropriate individuals for initial telephone interviews.
- Maintain candidate CVs in database file.
- Assist in creation copies for direct mailers, advertisements and brochures.
- Develop contacts with various companies capable of providing target mailing lists.
- Develop ongoing protocol for contacting various physician residency and fellowship programs to secure lists of potential candidates.
- Arrange for placement of notices that specify current staff physician needs.
- Lead a team of physician recruiters in arranging and participating in candidate site visits.
- Coordinate site visits and direct the establishment of appropriate itineraries.
- Interact with various Sections and Departments of CCF to ensure adequate compatibility with interview schedules.
- Follows-up with candidates after site visits to determine their continued level of interest.
- Maintain a database of staff physician contacts.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of candidate files and recruitment activity logs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Four years of physician recruitment experience in an internal recruitment environment with a major institution or national company
- Valid driver's license (VDL)
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks while multi-tasking
- Ability to interact with physicians and others with high levels of education
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to lead a team of recruiters focused in a specific area and meet necessary goals and deadlines
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master's Degree
- Related management or supervisory experience in the physician recruitment field or healthcare field
- Three to five+ years of physician recruitment experience, preferably in a hospital, health system, medical group, or healthcare recruiting firm
- Demonstrated success recruiting for a wide range of specialties, including primary care and hard-to-fill specialty physician roles
- Strong knowledge of the physician recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, contract coordination, and onboarding
- Familiarity with physician compensation models, employment agreements, and incentive structures
- Understanding of healthcare industry regulations, credentialing, licensure, and provider onboarding requirements
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and physician sourcing tools
- Proven ability to build relationships with physicians, practice leaders, department chairs, and executive stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and competing priorities
- Experience with passive candidate sourcing, networking, and attending physician career fairs, conferences, and residency/fellowship events
- Knowledge of physician workforce trends, market data, and recruitment best practices
- Ability to analyze recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline activity, and retention trends
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service
- Willingness to travel for recruitment events, site visits, and candidate interviews
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system. For some roles, ability to travel to other locations, including international travel.
- Ability to operate a computer, audio visual and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, including the ability to deliver any applicable training in person and virtually.
- In some locations, ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50
