As a Network Engineer II, you will research, recommend, and implement network hardware and software solutions. In this role, you will manage and maintain network systems to ensure communication access, availability, and reliability. You will design, implement, evaluate, document, and troubleshoot local, wide area, and wireless networks, providing analytical, project management, and technical support expertise. Additionally, you will deliver diagnostic and consulting services to IT professionals and business units, while performing performance monitoring and capacity planning to maintain network system integrity.
A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with at least two days per week on-site in Northeast Ohio.
This position requires approximately 80% travel within Northeast Ohio and 20% travel outside the region.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Research, recommend and implement network hardware and software.

Manage and maintain hardware and software to ensure communications access, availability and reliability.

Design, implement, evaluate, document and troubleshoot local, wide area and wireless networks.

Provide analytical, project management, and technical support expertise.
-
Provide diagnostic and consulting services to IT professionals and other business units.
-
Install, configure, and maintain network related hardware, software and supporting systems.
-
Perform troubleshooting of production issues both on-site and remotely in response to on-call duties.

Generate and maintain network documentation.
-
Plan, engineer and manage projects.
-
Generate designs and configurations based on our standards and facilitate the acquisition and replacement of equipment.

Develop standards for LAN/WAN/WLAN implementations for the operating environments assigned and assist with the monitoring and capacity planning for those environments.

Provide input and make recommendations for network design standards.
-
Specialize in networking technology and maintain a higher level of other IT technologies and how they impact network stability and reliability

Provide performance and capacity planning of network systems.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
High School Diploma and 10 years of extensive hands-on support of a large multi-service environment
-
OR Bachelor’s degree and five years extensive hands-on support of a large multi-service environment
-
Project management, analysis and consulting skills
-
Experience with large scale network systems that support over 100 network devices across multiple locations
-
Ability to design and effectively communicate knowledge of industry standard network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, VoIP and Wi-Fi
-
Ability to work in an evolving, fast-paced and challenging work environment
-
For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

IT Technical Certifications (CCNA, CCDA, RCDD, etc.)

Experience with in building cellular networks
-
Knowledge of DAS distributed antenna systems
-
Knowledge of private 5G systems
-
Knowledge of 5G frequency bands
-
Experience with in building DAS and Private 5G networks
-
Experience with DAS design principles and PWN
-
Experience with Ericsson, Commscope, Nokia, Samsung and others
-
Previous enterprise experience

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $84,200.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $128,412.50

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
