As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist, you will utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients in the Intensive Outpatient Program at Bath Health and Wellness Center and Akron General. This role is crucial in helping patients transition out of the hospital or preventing them from coming back to the hospital. As a part of Cleveland Clinic, you will also have continuous education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
A PRN caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. Most shifts will take place from 8:00AM – 2:00PM, Monday – Thursday.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum from anxiety and depression to bi-polar and schizophrenia.

Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.

Participate in the development and implementation of an appropriate assessment based interdisciplinary treatment plan.

Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies and patient relatives to ensure compliance with patient treatment plan.

Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessment and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
-
Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.
-
Act as a liaison with patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.
-
Provide education and resources for patients and family members.
-
Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns.
-
Process paperwork, take telephone calls and complete clinical documentation.

Participate in continuing professional education, departmental meetings and teaching.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field
-
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)

No record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports
-
Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting
-
Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients
-
Ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment
-
Ability to communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provide base
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.

Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push and facilitate movement of the patient.

Must have normal or correctable vision.

Must have normal or correctable hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $34.00
Maximum hourly: $34.00

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
