As a Message Therapist Chiropractic Assistant, you will assist us in fulfilling this goal by administering various therapies, such as deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, pregnancy/postpartum, acupressure and reflexology techniques. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including techniques that provide deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydrotherapy for Chiropractic patients.

Administer therapeutic services, including electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and stretching and strengthening activities (Under the direction of the chiropractic physician).

Work within the Scope of Practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Unlicensed Supportive Personnel under the Ohio Revised Code

Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.

Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.

Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.

Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile and Organizational state.

Assist patients to safely perform activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma/GED
-
Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Training Program
-
Current licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) by the state of Ohio
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Experience working in the medical and/or health care field

Cupping or additional knowledge
Physical Requirements:
-
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients and equipment, lifting of items in excess of 30 pounds.

Requires standing and walking for extended times.

Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients; e.g., carts and wheelchairs.

Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
