The Medical Director/Site Director collaborates with Chairs and facility leaders to manage physicians and physician practice operations at a specific site or service for the Institute service line. Serves as a clinical leader in a department charged with the responsibility of running a specific service line or condition-related set of clinical activities. Responsible for assisting Institute and Department Chairs with satisfying their clinical and administrative responsibilities in the applicable service line/clinical area and for being an expert and leader within their area. Provides leadership, management and motivation to the Site; directs clinical activities of the Site; directs instructional/educational activities of the Site; promotes research interest among the faculty; directs the specialty training programs for residents and fellows; recruits faculty for recommendations to the Department and Division Chair when positions are available; exercises fiscal responsibility in the day-to-day activities of the Site and routinely reviews budgets, expenditures, professional charges, receipts, and Site activities; directs, along with the Department and Institute Chairs, the continued growth of the Site. Leads and develops a cohesive team of physicians, including ensuring that continuing medical education of providers is appropriate to maintain clinical skills of the highest standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures designed to ensure safe and efficient provision of care across the Site; this work includes standardizing policies and procedures, order sets, and practice guidelines. Standardization of care will be aimed at establishing a consistent practice, decreasing variability in clinical performance, improving quality, alignment, and patient satisfaction.
Requirements:
Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree or foreign equivalent, and at least one year of experience as an Endocrinologist.
Completion of endocrinology fellowship. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida. Board Certified by the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Board. Candidate must be able to obtain credentialing through Cleveland Clinic Florida as well as pass a background check and drug and nicotine testing.
