Position Overview
Cleveland Clinic Florida is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Medicine to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) team. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-acuity critical care within a collaborative academic environment.
The physician will provide care for post-operative and critically ill surgical patients, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, residents, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive critical care management for SICU patients
- Provide perioperative and post-operative critical care support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers (if applicable)
- Participate in call coverage as assigned
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
- Eligible for or licensed to practice in the state of Florida
- Strong clinical skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
- Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or clinical research preferred
- Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in perioperative management for solid organ transplantation or neurocritical care
