We are currently seeking highly motivated Postdoc Fellows to join our research team in the Center for Immunotherapy & Precision Immuno-Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute.
The Wu lab is interested in understanding the fundamental mechanism of innate immunity and its impact on adaptive immunity, inflammation, and cancer. Dr. Wu’s lab is currently employing multifaceted approaches and mouse disease models to uncover the novel immunostimulatory or immunosuppressive mechanisms of cGAS-STING pathway in antitumor immunity and autoimmunity. The overarching goal of the Wu lab is to harness innate immunity to develop new immunotherapies for cancer and inflammatory diseases.
Our recent research has been published in top-tier journals, including Immunity (PMIDs: 40010341, 32640258), PNAS (PMID: 38985760), Journal of Experimental Medicine (PMID: 30886058), and Cell Host & Microbe (PMID: 26320998). Our research is currently supported by multiple prestigious awards, including the NIH MERIT Award, Mathers Foundation Award, V Scholar Award, MRA Young Investigator Award, and ACS Catalyst Award, among others.
The ideal candidates should have a PhD degree and have a strong background and/or interest in molecular biology, innate immunity, or cancer immunology. Proficient laboratory skills and highly self-motivation are required. Applicants with experience in immunology are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
- Project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation
- Conducts research focused on Innate Immunity & Cancer Immunology
- Prepare manuscripts for publication, presentation and future research
- Plans, organizes, performs and monitors daily project protocols
Education:
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute for PhD
Languages:
- English Proficiency proof required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 + OPT visa status
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting. Graduate student experience meets this requirement.
- Scientific writing experience
Additional Preferred Qualities:
- PhD in an appropriate scientific field such as Molecular biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Cell biology, Biochemistry, or other similar science major.
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to distinguish color
- Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $31,200.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $312,000.00

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
