The Magnet Program Manager leads the organization’s Magnet Recognition Program in alignment with the standards set by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA). This role partners closely with the Nursing Leadership Team to ensure ongoing compliance with Magnet standards while coordinating all phases of the designation and re-designation process. Responsibilities include guiding strategic planning efforts, facilitating Magnet Steering Committees and ambassador programs, and supporting initiatives that highlight nursing excellence and quality outcomes.
Success in this role requires strong relationship-building and communication skills, as the position relies on influence rather than direct authority to drive engagement. The Magnet Program Manager serves as a coach and mentor across the department, fostering collaboration and inspiring participation in Magnet-related initiatives. By building alignment and enthusiasm, this role plays a critical part in shaping and sustaining the organization’s Magnet story and culture of nursing excellence.
A caregiver in this position works days| 8:00am – 5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Manage, organize, and administer the Magnet Recognition Program for the Nursing Institute to support the practice of nursing and delivery of patient care.

Manage all aspects of the Magnet process from application to maintenance of certification.

Communicate with Magnet appraisers and reapplies for Magnet designation as appropriate.

Collaborate with nursing and organizational leadership to ensure that the Magnet Standards of Care are met, and related programs are developed, maintained, and evaluated.

Provide leadership and guidance to internal and external nursing colleagues regarding Magnet gap analysis, status, goals, and programs.
-
Facilitate Magnet Ambassadors meetings and Magnet education sessions for all clinical areas.
-
Provide the annual report to ANCC required for maintaining Magnet Status.
-
Develop interim reporting required by ANCC between the designation processes and is a liaison for Cleveland Clinic with the ANCC national office.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor’s Degree
-
Registered Nurse with a license in the State of OH
-
6 years of clinical experience
-
Knowledge of statistical and/or financial analysis, primary research and business plan development

Demonstrated team, leadership, organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Prior program management experience
-
Master’s Degree (may substitute for 1 year of experience)

Nursing specialty certification

Experience with personnel and project management

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $92,620.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $141,265.00
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
