The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is currently seeking applicants for a Medical Breast Specialist to join our growing team. We welcome applications from board-certified physicians who have outpatient experience in medical breast and a strong interest in women’s health. This can include physicians from specialties such as Breast Surgery, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Gynecology.
The ideal candidate has experience in primary or ambulatory care and a strong interest in breast and women’s health. They should demonstrate a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care. The clinical practice for this role will encompass the evaluation and management of benign breast disease, comprehensive risk assessment, care of patients at elevated or hereditary risk, and survivorship care.
The physician’s clinical practice will be a hybrid of academic and community at our multidisciplinary Breast Center locations in the Cleveland Clinic Breast Program. No call is required. Medical students, residents and fellows rotate on our service and our medical breast physicians are integral members of the teaching rotation. The physician will obtain an academic appointment as Assistant, Associate or Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be encouraged to participate in clinical research.
The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is comprised of surgical and medical breast specialists, as well as breast psychology. A full array of services ranges from initial screening and diagnosis to innovative breast cancer treatment and management of high-risk patients for breast cancer. The Breast Center is an integral component of the Comprehensive Breast Program which includes multidisciplinary disciplines caring for Breast Health from prevention, screening, breast cancer management and to survivorship. The Breast Program maintains full accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is renowned for multidisciplinary cancer care and is a national referral center. Dedicated research coordinators support our team’s clinical trials and research protocols. Within the Breast Center, Breast Surgery and Medical Breast Services collaborate closely, allowing the medical breast physician to lead the evaluation and management of non-surgical breast conditions while surgeons focus on operative care.
