The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers is growing its team of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists at our Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. We are inviting early and mid-career Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists to join our expanding practice with the anticipation of increased volume of cases in the upcoming year.
Our team is comprised of highly trained and skilled physicians, residents, fellows and CRNAs. We are seeking highly motivated, and team-oriented individuals who seek to begin or continue their career with an opportunity to explore the pathways to advance their professional career within four career tracks as Master Clinician, Clinician Educator, Clinician Researcher or Clinician Scientist.
Clinical activities include all types and complexity of cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and interventional cardiology procedures, including heart and lung transplantations and mechanical cardiac support devices.
Our adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship is the largest program in the country and accepts 18 fellows per year, with all staff participating in educational activities in the operating theater as well as, in-person or remote learning sessions.
Cardiothoracic anesthesiologists at the Cleveland Clinic hold an academic rank in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Support for academic, research and advancement activities are available and provided as appropriate.

Position description:
-Staff physician-led anesthesia teams caring for cardiac, thoracic, vascular surgical and interventional cardiology patients.
-Generous support for non-clinical activity and professional advancement, which includes up to 10 CME weekdays, and participation in professional and national society activities.
-Compensation package that is well above the 85% national average, which includes enterprise-matched deferred compensation.
Qualifications:
-Commitment to work within a team with empathy and integrity
-Medical degree from accredited university or medical school (or foreign equivalent)
-Board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Anesthesiology
-Fellowship training (or equivalent experience) in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
-Diplomate status in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (or foreign equivalent)
-Ohio medical license eligibility
