A caregiver in this position works 11:00pm – 7:30am and every other weekend and holiday.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Clean floors, windowsills, banisters, stairways, lounges, lobby and admitting areas, locker rooms, meeting rooms, doctor’s quarters, solarium, corridors and emergency room.Â

Strip, scrub and refinish floors. Â
-
Extract, shampoo and bonnet carpets. Â
-
Wash walls, ceilings, lights, windows, casings, cabinets and closets. Â

Operate automated floor maintenance equipment, floor scrubbers, floor strippers, rotary low- and high-speed floor machines, vacuums and detail equipment. Â

Move furniture, replace windows, and draw drapes and shades. Â

Answer calls for spills, floods, etc. Â

Use and maintain office sweeping tools, mops, wringers, soaps, cleansers and other cleaning equipment. Â

Pull trans, infectious waste and needles. Â
-
Transport objects, including office equipment, projectors, blackboards, microphones and other equipment to meeting rooms. Â

Clean and wash contaminated rooms. Â

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Six months of housekeeping or floor care experience. Â

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
- Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
- Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
- Willingness and ability to move and climb ladders and/or scaffolding ​
