Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission (CCVSC)

The Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission (formerly known as the Soldiers Relief Commission) was established on May 19, 1886, for the purpose of assisting Honorably Discharged Veterans and their minor children, spouse, and widows, who have met with an unexpected hardship resulting from lack of employment, illness or injury. Some available services are: Emergency Financial Assistance, help in completing VA Claims, and Memorial Affairs. In partnership with the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, an Employer Outreach Specialist also provides free services to honorably discharged veterans and their immediate family members. Some available services include free career coaching, resume advice, building a personal brand as a job seeker, professional networking, job seeker advocacy, and referrals to specialized training or certification programs.
