ONE OF 18 DEPARTMENTS/CENTERS IN THE PEDIATRIC INSTITUTE

 The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces the search for Chair of Pediatric Cardiology.  The Chair would oversee active programs in intervention, non-invasive imaging, electrophysiology, outreach, fellowship; training, and in-patient pediatric cardiology and administratively report to the Chair of the Pediatric Institute.  Applicants should have an excellent record of clinical service, teaching and scholarship with experience in leadership, administrative skills, mentoring of faculty, fellows, residents and medical students and program development.  Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Cardiology and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required.

A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.    The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital is consistently ranked as one of the best in the United States by US News & World Report and has 429 staffed beds, of which 121 are on the main campus, 25 in our Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation on Shaker Campus, and 283 in other 5 satellite hospitals across Northeast Ohio. Our staff includes more than 300 physicians in 55 pediatric medical and surgical specialties providing over 650,000 outpatient visits, 17,000 inpatient admission, 11,000 surgeries, and accepting over 1,400 transports per year.  Significant opportunities exist for cooperative program development with the adult Cardiology program  ranked #1 in the US News and World  Report since 1995.
