Community Service Opportunities

If you’re handy with a hammer, our Rebuilding Together partnership is the right spot to jump in. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization providing critical home repairs, modifications and improvements for America’s low-income homeowners, and Cleveland Clinic caregivers have been contributing during periodic volunteer days with renovating a home in Fairfax.

Cleveland Clinic employees also support a number of local service organizations such as:

  • Adoption Network Cleveland:
Adoption and foster care come with distinct challenges for those who are seeking to do so, or who have been through it themselves. You can help provide connection, empowerment and healing.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland:
Make a difference in the lives of urban youths. The Boys and Girls Clubs offer volunteer opportunities in Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Character & Citizenship Programs.
  • Cleveland Foodbank:
If feeding the hungry is close to your heart, the Cleveland Foodbank could use you! You’ll be helping to sort donations for later distribution to local food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.
  • MedWish International:
While many Cleveland Clinic patients come from abroad, this organization provides caregivers and hospitals in developing countries—for the many who cannot afford to come here. Help with the behind-the-scenes work of sorting and managing donations and inventory.
  • Ronald McDonald House:
Who takes care of the families of children who are in the hospital? These folks do. If you’re skilled at cooking, meal planning and shopping, this is a great place to contribute.
  • University Settlement:
For those with a particular desire for urban service, this nonprofit center serves the Broadway/Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland. Volunteers may help serve community meals, and assist with monthly grocery distribution.

With new employees, we look forward to new ideas for service projects. We can’t wait to hear yours!
